Birmingham Festival Theatre is located at 1901 1/2 11th Ave. South, Birmingham AL 35205; however, any map device will not recognize the 1/2 in the address. In order for any device to be willing take you to us, you will have to key in 1901 11th Ave. South. This address will take you to Golden Temple,our friendly neighbors downstairs. To get to BFT from Golden Temple, you will have to walk up the sidewalk on the hill facing 19th Street South heading towards the Southside Precinct. We are located directly across The Fitzgerald apartments and diagonally from the USPS. Once you see a steel gate around our patio, you will have arrived at your destination. You can easily walk from here to restaurants, cafés, shopping, mass transit and parking. Our box office can be reached at 205-933-2383.

Parking for Birmingham Festival Theatre

1. Street Parking

Street parking meters are free after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and are free on the weekends. Be careful not to park in the dentists’ or church’s parking lots without a permit or you will be towed.

To obtain a permit, you will have to purchase a BFT Season ticket membership.
UPDATE: It was recently posted that the Post Office parking lot is no longer available for after-hours parking for anyone not on postal business. Please avoid parking there to avoid a ticket and/or towing.

Public Transit

Ride the Dart

Five Points has charming trolley-style buses known as Dart buses. As Route 90 within Birmingham’s “Metro Area eXpress” (MAX) system, Dart buses make getting around Five Points a breeze.
