  • Miss Magic City Comedy Queen is Birmingham’s preliminary pageant for the National Miss Comedy Queen Pageant. It is judged on comedic value and creativity, and the winning and 1st alternate preliminary contestants receive entry to the national competition based in Orlando, Florida. While entering its third year Miss Magic City Comedy Queen has not only had local participants, but also competitors from other states competing for a chance to win the National title. Miss Magic City Comedy Queen is partnered with Birmingham Festival Theatre, located in the Historic Five Points South District of Birmingham, Alabama. This year's pageant promoters are Birmingham locals, Flap Jack and Rhonda Erbrick. Each year, Miss Magic City Comedy Queen’s winner has placed in the Top Ten (or higher) at the national competition. With this standard, it will not be much longer before our Magic City will get the crown.

  • National Miss Comedy Queen began in 2005 by April Fresh and is located in Orlando, Florida. Now ran by April Fresh and Addison Taylor, the pageantry system continues to grow exponentially each year. The National Comedy Queen pageantry system in its entirety fosters creativity and ingenuity while also inspiring femme presenting queens across the country. Miss Comedy Queen is open to any femme presenting queen who has qualified through a preliminary contest or has been approved by the board using a self appointed option and is judged on comedic value and creativity.

  • Contestants will be judged in the following five (5) categories: Interview, Presentation, Comedic Talent, Outrageous Evening Gown and 60 Second Spokeswoman.

  • Between each category, there is a break filled with entertainment from local and visiting drag entertainers.

  • Miss Magic City Comedy Queen will take place at Birmingham Festival Theatre located in the Historic Five Points South district of Birmingham, Alabama.
