BFT Readers Theatre announces auditions for a staged reading of The Weir by Conor McPherson. The Weir, set in a pub, has little to do with images of drinking, and all to do with friendship and conversation. “The Weir is not just about things that go bump in the night. It is a play about loneliness.” The Guardian.

Auditions are scheduled for:
October 17th and 18th at the Southside Baptist Church 5:30 PM
The performance date is October 30th at Carrigan’s Pub. There will be four rehearsals the week before the performance.

Auditions will be for five actors:
-four men of varying ages to play Jack, Brendan, Jim, and Finbar Mack
-one woman, age thirty to forty, to play Valerie

It is an ensemble cast, each member with a story to tell. Irish accent is a plus: accent as opposed to a brogue.
